This is another relationship song about a guy I know, whose very country, hence the genre. This is the most country-like song I’ve ever written. His partnership broke up due to his own accord, as he told me…hard living and not taking his partner into account. I tried to write something Townes Van Zandt might write, but I’m sure it falls quite short of that goal. I tried to create a pedal steel sound using a volume pedal, a slide, and my Gretsch Tennessee Rose. There’s also some country piano and kind of a Glen Campbell baritone guitar part. Along with Maria’s and Angi’s chorus vocals, and Scott’s harmonica I think it came out like the country I like. Thanks Maria, Angi, and Scott!
